Initial situation and project challenges
In the heart of Pesaro, adjacent to the Teatro Rossini, stands the Ponte Cavalca-Ferrovia, providing a direct connection to the coast by bypassing the railway line.
This four-lane overpass, a vital road artery, required urgent redevelopment to ensure safety and reduce light pollution.
The existing lighting system no longer met modern standards for road safety or environmental compliance.
SIDEis solution: efficiency and safety in one
To address these needs, the Municipality of Pesaro, led by Engineer Alessandro Piergiovanni, designer and project manager, selected SIDEis as the ideal partner to implement a grazing LED lighting system.
Our technology ensured uniform light distribution, critical for safety and visibility on this complex infrastructure.
Designed for efficiency and durability, our fixtures effectively tackled the challenge of evenly illuminating a sloped four-lane road, eliminating the need for bulky lighting poles.
Tailored collaboration and installation
Installation was entrusted to Ditta Zolfanelli, who performed meticulous work, including the use of custom-designed supports for the junction boxes specifically created for this project.
The installer’s precision and attention to detail optimized every phase of the intervention, respecting the bridge’s structural features and ensuring seamless aesthetic integration with the urban environment.
A complex project in collaboration with RFI
Given the strategic location of the bridge, the project required complex coordination between multiple stakeholders, including Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).
Our team worked closely with all parties involved, completing the project on schedule and in compliance with current regulations (UNI EN 13201 and UNI 11248). This effort significantly improved road safety while reducing environmental impact.
