LED street lighting as we know it is already outdated:

  • It’s costly to install
  • It lacks infrastructure capable of interfacing with IoT systems and connectivity, a crucial aspect considering the imminent evolution of traffic management

Traditional lamps, heavy and bulky, emit large amounts of light that are often wasted, providing inadequate visibility, especially in adverse weather conditions. These are issues that the new SIDEis LED fixture fully resolves.

LED Installations Before SIDEis

Despite the advancements in LED performance, today’s lighting installations still require traffic interruptions, significant labor, and large amounts of steel, concrete, poles, and cables, making them complex and costly. Additionally, the height of the light fixtures leads to inevitably high maintenance costs.
Traditional street lighting often causes debilitating glare and extreme light scatter upwards, limiting the visibility for drivers. In adverse driving conditions due to fog, haze, or rain, reliable and effective lighting that ensures visibility and safety is crucial.
Traditional poles, standing 10 meters high, unnecessarily illuminate large areas surrounding the intended zone, causing intense and problematic light pollution. At the same time, road perimeters remain poorly visible, creating insecurity for drivers who instinctively steer towards the center of the road, putting themselves at risk.

Why adapt obsolete products and complex infrastructures? It’s wiser to invest in innovation that offers certainty. SIDEis combines compact, glare-free lighting with a revolutionary “at eye level” design and reduces the energy requirements of traditional street lighting solutions, ensuring a lifespan of over 50,000 hours.

The Key Challenges We’ve Overcome

Installed at about 1 meter in height, it clearly illuminates and delineates all types of roads, improving visual perception in any weather condition by increasing contrast. It avoids direct glare to drivers and also enhances pedestrian safety.
Position adjustments, replacements, and repairs can be carried out easily and quickly. Expensive rental equipment, such as those used to reach traditional fixtures over 10 meters high, are no longer necessary.
With an overall consumption of 13W, but using much less raw material, SIDEis is also innovative in its operational economy. Even where more fixtures are required, long-term savings are substantial and guaranteed.
A real issue, to be prevented intelligently. SIDEis fixtures are positioned next to the guard rail, strategically hidden from view, and placed in areas where people usually don’t pass, such as highway exits, bridges, tunnels, and areas with high vehicular traffic.
